Presentation by Tineke STRICK, Member of the European Parliament, Greens/European Free Alliance Group, member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET). In her presentation, she introduced us to the main documents that make up the New Pact, examined in a balanced way the good and dangerous trends set out in it, and focused on the effect on Bulgaria as a border state of these reforms. Tineke STRICK’s presentation was part of an event: ‘Schengen and the New Migration Pact’, organised by the Center of Legal Aid – Voice in Bulgaria, which took place on 10 April 2024. BIRDS in BG (Building an Inclusive Resilient Democratic Society in Bulgaria), implemented in partnership with the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law (BCNL) and Impact Drive Foundation (IDF), with the financial support of the European Union (EU).
