In 2024, the EU finally voted on the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum. On December 20, 2024, Bulgaria published its National Plan for the implementation of the Pact. The new European legal framework on migration places new emphasis on the refugee and migration system in our country, especially as an external border of the EU. At the same time, the new rules inevitably affect the situation of the most vulnerable, migrant children, raising many questions about the realization of their rights, their procedural guarantees, and their social and humanitarian situation.
We are organizing the event in Harmanli because regional experts and institutions are at the forefront of implementing the new European rules.
The project “Support for Children on the Move” aims to assist and prevent violence against migrant children in Bulgaria who have temporary protection status, are seeking international protection, have been granted international protection, or have been denied international protection. One of the main objectives of the project is to support children, their parents, legal representatives, and the relevant institutions responsible for protecting their rights and preventing violence.
We expect you!
