More than 80 experts gathered the conference ‘Migration and Human Security in post-crisis Bulgaria’
The conference co-orginezd by Center for legal Aid Voice in Bulgaria and CERMES, NBU and held on the 1st of March 2018 was the first public event to address migration during the period, which Bulgaria holds the presidency of the Council of of the European Union.
Representatives of state agencies, international organizations, civil society and academia experts reflected on the European and national political and civil perspepectives on migration policy. The conference was addressed by Ms. Iliana Iotova, vice-president of Republic of Bulgaria, who stressed the lack of debate during the Bulgarian presidency on the topic of migration and particularly the reforms needed at European level.
