The discussion will begin with the presentation of a report containing recommendations focused on the challenges and lessons learned from the application of the screening procedure in Bulgaria and across Europe at this early stage of the Pact\u2019s implementation. The second panel of the event will provide an opportunity for representatives of the regional units of the General Directorate \u201cBorder Police,\u201d the \u201cMigration\u201d Directorate, the Social Assistance Agency, as well as representatives of the Ombudsman, UNHCR, and UNICEF to summarize key aspects of their practices during this early stage of procedural changes.<\/p>\n<p>The event will continue with an open discussion with registered participants.<\/p>\n<p>Event date: October 28, 2026, Haskovo, Hotel \u201cRetro,\u201d starting at 11:00 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Participation via Zoom is also available, subject to prior registration.<\/p>\n<p>The event is part of the project \u201cCitizen Participation and Monitoring of the Asylum and Migration System,\u201d implemented by the Center for Legal Aid \u2013 Glas in Bulgaria as the lead organization, and the Mission Wings Foundation and Yura Humana as partners, funded by the Government of the Swiss Confederation through the Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Program within the framework of the Mechanism for Civic Engagement and Transparency (MCET) 2024\u20132029.
