Diana Daskalova
Head Attorney and Founder of Center for Legal Aid – Voice in Bulgaria

Diana Daskalova is the head attorney and founder of the “Center for Legal Aid – Voice in Bulgaria”. At the CLA Ms. Daskalova is actively engaged in counseling, litigation and representation of asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants in front of administrative authorities and courts on the territory of Bulgaria and Europe on issues concerning imposed administrative measures, detention, due process in refugee procedures, legal status determination of foreigners, etc.

Radostina Pavlova
Legal Expert and Advocacy Officer

Radostina Pavlova is a Legal Expert and Advocacy Officer at the Center for Legal Aid  - Voice in Bulgaria (CLA). Prior to joining the CLA in 2014, Radostina worked as a Policy Analyst and Programme Advisor in the areas of immigration, integration and multiculturalism for the Canadian federal government. She also has worked as a counsellor at legal aid clinics in Toronto, Canada, in the areas of refugee and immigration law and injured workers compensation rights. She holds Master’s degrees in Immigration and Settlement Studies, and Russian and East European Studies (Political Science stream), and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto.  Radostina has authored or co-authored a number of articles and research papers related to issues of migration and human rights. In addition to her work at the CLA, she is an independent consultant, researcher and trainer working on migration-related topics such as prevention of human trafficking, vulnerable migrants and access to public information in the area of asylum and migration.

Ani Arutyunyan
Case Manager Assistant

Ani Arutyunyan has been serving as a Case Manager Assistant at the Center for Legal Aid - Voice in Bulgaria since 2017. Ani is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of National and World Economy, Sofia, and holds a Master's degree in Political Studies. Ms. Arutyunyan has taken part in numerous international conferences, symposiums, trainings, etc. related to International Relations and International Law. Her interests are focused on providing legal assistance to asylum seekers and migrants, and proper integration of beneficiaries of international protection in the Republic of Bulgaria. Ani speaks Bulgarian, English, Armenian, and Russian.

Marina Kisyova de Geus
Communications Officer

Marina has joined the CLA team in January 2018. Prior that she has worked in the civil society sector on the topics of human rights and human security with organizations, such as Open Society Foundations and United Network of Young Peacebuilders, in Ireland, The Netherlands and USA. Marina has also worked for the External Relations Presidency team of the International Criminal Court. She holds an M.Phil in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Marina is co-founder of Academy 'Ekaterina Karavelova' , cohort 2017 Community Solutions Fellow and recipient of the OSCE Scholarship Women for Peace.
